Two men called on an elderly person in East End Road, East Finchley and claimed to be from Neighbourhood Watch. They told the person that they had stopped a suspect outside her house with a large sum of money on them. They asked her if the money belonged to her. She of course said no.... They asked her where her money was kept, she invited them in and pointed out her hiding place. Of course they then stole the £3000 that she had in the "hiding place". Neighbourhood watch members do not stop people or ask to come into your home and they do not carry any form of NHW identity. If in any doubt call police on 999.
