YOUR COMPUTER IS A RISK, no really it probably is.. and not just your computer, but you, your children and your personal details are at risk.
In my experience dealing with both business and domestic computers, in most probabliity you have at least one of the following problems: 1. You are getting pop ups. 2. Your antivirus is out of date( or EXPIRED, or NOT INSTALLED)
3. You get more SPAM than you get normal email. 4. The last time you made a backup of your data, Tony Blair was the most popular man in Britain. 5. You have spyware on your machine(I will explain this later, for those that don't follow) If none of those things apply to you then.... CONGRATULATIONS you are a computer expert, and can pat yourself on the back. Otherwise If you are like the other 99% of people, most likely another more unscrupulous computet expert, would have had access to your machine by now. How, you may ask? Through that wonderful Broadband connection that you have grown so accustomed to., it opens the way for virus', trojans, worms, hackers, spyware, bots and script kiddies to play havock. Your computer is like a house, with no locks and a big neo sign flashing outside saying come and take my things.
Lets face it, Technology is dangerous, its so dangerous we would probably have banned it, if it weren't so phenomenally useful. Over the coming x weeks, I will be writing articles about various things about taming the Wild Web. I have little tips and tricks that for ZERO cost will reduce your chances of having problems with your computer down to a number close to ZERO. You will know about the latest online scams, and how to protect your kids online. I would love to have your suiggestions, Just email
